"What have we awakened?"
Seven unlikely heroes thought they were guarding a simple merchant cart. But fate brought them to Crimson Peak, where they found an ancient ruby and awakened something that should have stayed asleep.
When we touched the Crimson Heart ruby, an ancient voice spoke—a dragon's voice, deep and terrible. Infernadax. He's been sealed beneath the mountain for centuries. And we just broke something we didn't understand.
Now something hunts us—an invisible dragonborn assassin demanding we return the ruby to "the Great One." We barely escaped with our lives.
We've reached Phandalin. Now we need answers. What have we unleashed?
An ancient red dragon named Infernadax has been sealed beneath Crimson Peak for centuries. The Crimson Heart ruby was part of that seal. We took it. The mountain shook. He spoke to us.
"The seals weaken. After all these years, I can finally feel the surface world again."
What are "the seals"? Why does the hunter want us to prove we're "worthy"? What does the dragon want with us? And why do some of us feel... connected to all this?
